Days to Finalization

Days to Finalization is a Data Table style report that provides insight into how the "percent of notes" are finalized within specified time intervals and provides an average of how many notes are finalized for each Date of Service. This data can be viewed by the Clinic or individual Therapist. This report can help identify if delays in finalization are causing delays in other areas, such as your clinic’s ability to bill for provided services in a timely manner (a high percentage of notes finalized in the 3+ day range). The number of days to finalization is calculated based on the Date of Service field on the SOAP note and the date of finalization generated when the note was finalized.

Important: This report does not include SOAP 2.0 data at this time.

Location

You can locate this report in the Notes section of Reports in Analytics. If you do not see the report listed in this section, ensure that you have the correct Analytics Access permission.

You can filter which clinics appear in the report using the View Clinics by: drop-down menu and corresponding (…) button.
Use the View Data By drop-down to view the data by Clinic or by Therapist. Viewing by Therapist will provide metrics for each therapist in the associated clinic.
You have the option of setting how many days are in your workweek using the Display Work Week drop-down. This impacts the Notes per Date of Service calculation, by dividing the notes by 5 (M-F), 6 (M-S), or 7 (M-Su) days of service.

Tip: When viewing the data by the Therapist, the provider who receives credit for the note is the therapist who finalized the note, referred to as the Finalizing Therapist in Analysis Grid reports.
